The Mission Soapbox Derby was restarted on 1 July 1999 as a yearly
event after an absence of over 25 years. It was sponsored by the Mission & District
Lions Club along with businesses and community groups.
That years' Soapbox Derby marked the first event held by the Mission &
District Soapbox Derby Association.
The Mission & District Soapbox Derby Association actively seeks Mission Soapbox
